The Plan

“All my days were written in Your book and panned before a single one of them began” (Psalm 139:16)

Life hurts. So why dose God allow plan? He doesn’t give us a complete explanation or a direct answer in Scripture as to why He allows it, but He tell us two important truths that stand faithful sure in the midst of the pain: I am here. I am working for good. God doesn’t give us full answer or an explanation about our pain because He knows we need more than answer. We need Him.

Before God made the first man out of dust, He knew what was going to happen through the course of history. He knew that evil would enter His creation through Satan and spread through an angel rebellion. He knew that the first man and women would choose to believe Satan’s lies and succumb t0 his dominion of darkness. He knew that the universe would fall and that would be centuries of great pain.

God knew that He would have to come to earth Himself to suffer, die, and rise to life again to rescue us. He knew, and He chose to do it anyway. God sees the future with the same fixed certainty that we see the past. That’s why in Scripture Jesus is called “the lamb who was slaughtered” (Revelation 13:8 NLT). The rescue was in place before the fall- evil was going to lose from the very beginning.

In the mind of our completely sovereign God, the course of human history – and eternity - is ready completely figured out. The end of the story is just as must of a reality to Him as the present. He knows every bit of pain that you will experience (Psalm139:16). He knows how it’s going to cause Him pain, too. But even knowing all that, He saw that all of the pain and heartache would be worth it, So, He set the events of human history in motion.

May we always be reminded of our Father’s loving presence, which He knows everything we are going through, and that He walks with us through all of it.
